Oh no! Facebook Analytics is going away!?

Yes, when we saw the headlines we were just as shocked as you. What does this mean for our reporting? How will businesses monitor their progress? All the same questions ran through our minds.

If you haven’t heard the news, Facebook Analytics will no longer be available from June 30, 2021. The announcement is as follows:

“Facebook Analytics will no longer be available after June 30, 2021. Until then, you will still be able to access reports, export charts and tables, and explore insights. To export data into a CSV file from Facebook Analytics on your desktop, click the arrow in the top-right corner of each chart or table.”

Facebook didn’t provide any reasoning as to why this is happening, however there is much speculation around the recent debacle with Apple’s privacy changes.

Facebook have however offered the following business tool alternatives to consider:

  • Facebook Business Suite assists businesses to manage their Facebook and Instagram presences. It gives you insight into your audience, trends and content performance.
  • Ads Manager is used as your command centre for Instagram and Facebook advertising.
  • Events Manager is a tool within Facebook Business Manager that helps companies better advertise to Facebook users that have visited the company’s website(s).
